Finally, Mom has finished her chemo! Oh, what a joy! The downside at the moment is that she was admitted into the hospital yesterday. After her chemo treatment on Tuesday, she just became so sick. She went in and some bloodwork done, and they realized her potassium was low, so to be safe they admitted her. I, unfortunately have not been able to see her. A little girl in my classroom has been sick for two days, so I have been exposed to something I don't want to be giving my mom. So what next? The healing begins! Mom will have CT scans every three months for the first year, and then every 6 months after that. She will also begin a training program to gain her muscle and strength back.
This past Sunday, Hunter Jacob was Baptized. Jamie is his Godfather, and Kristen and I are the Godmother. We were so honored to be given this role in Hunter's life. I personally view him as our little miracle because he showed up in our time of need. Talk about a breath of fresh air...this is one amazing little guy!
This week we meet with a new Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor for Jamison. This guy does not mess around. We go back in mid July, and if he still see's the need, then in August, Jamison will have a tube put in his left ear, some patch work done on the hole in his right ear (not patch the whole thing, just around the edges), and he will also take his adnoids out. Hopefully, taking out his adnoids will help with all those yucky allergies! Dr. Cossette said he could all of this now, but he is going to wait until August, so we can enjoy the summer doing this...
